Digestive Balance

Individuals with digestive disorders benefit greatly from Abdominal Therapy. Those so called “butterflies in your stomach” can lead to constipation, indigestion, heartburn, gastritis, and can eventually develop into more chronic illness such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Gasto Esophageal Reflux (GERD), Crohn’s Disease and the list goes on. Sessions in clinic apply techniques that help open up the channels of flow in and out of the belly as well as break down adhesions and any scar tissue from past surgeries that are further adding to the restriction and constriction of blood, venous, lymph and  nerve supply in and out of the belly. Often there is a dramatic improvement after just one clinic session when combined with proper diet and other supportive work.

Digestive conditions and related symptoms helped with Abdominal Therapy:

  • Headaches/migraines
  • Digestive Disorders
  • Low energy
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Gastro Esophogeal Reflux (GERD)
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Chronic constipation
  • Low Back ache
  • Chronic indigestion or heartburn
  • Gastritis
  • Restricted breathing due to tension

All disease begins in the gut.

When intake, assimilation, and elimination are all in Divine right order in my body, I feel great. There is nothing that feels like a really good poop. Then we flush and it’s on its way, never to return! This is nature’s way. I do not know of anyone who tries to go into the sewer to retrieve their poop. If only we could treat all of our life experiences the same way. Intake, assimilation, elimination, and flush!

What clients are saying...
I have suffered from IBS since I was 12 years old and it has progressively got worse through the years, Danielle’s expert massages have helped me to be able to relax my stomach and by teaching me the methods I will be able to continue the treatments even though I am moving abroad.
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease just over a year ago. Whilst the worst symptoms of this initial flare-up passed after numerous months of drug-based anti-inflammatory therapy, I was left with strange sensations in my stomach and a feeling that things weren’t quite in the right place. I was also anxious about what the disease would mean for me into the longer term, and what might cause the symptoms to flare up again. I was interested in having Maya Abdominal Therapy treatment, due to its focus on guiding internal organs into the correct position for feeling well, and have now had three sessions. The therapy has had a really positive effect for me – things have settled down a lot in my stomach, and I no longer hold onto my side all the time. I don’t feel the general discomfort that I was experiencing, and which made me want to lie down and stretch out a lot of the time, and feel generally really well within myself. I am also feel less anxiety in the stomach region, which I had felt was originally the cause of a lot of my problems, and I feel the therapy has helped with all of these things.
I had suffered with cramps, gas and bloating for many years. It was uncomfortable, embarrassing and would last for the rest of the day. After my first clinic session I noticed a staggering difference. After my second clinic session, my symptoms of bloating and pain are pretty much entirely gone. My stomach is back to flat (it used to be like that all the time, but I’d forgotten as it had been so long since I’d seen it like that!). Thank you Danielle!
I just wanted to write to let you know I have noticed a great difference from our first massage. I suffer from bloating and a distended stomach. Well after the massage I went to work and a colleague said it looked smaller!! The next day I definitely noticed this too!! It has shrunk and it feels a lot softer. It looks smaller at the sides and top. My husband thinks you’re amazing and so do I. I feel like there is light at the end of a very long tunnel. It would mean so much to me if I didn’t have to suffer the embarrassment of this anymore. Thank you for your skill, care, efforts, and gentleness. I am so excited I can hardly contain myself.
