Solstice

June 21

Solstices (occurring around June 20–22 and December 20–22) are biannual astronomical events marking the sun’s most northerly or southerly excursion, resulting in the year’s longest/shortest days. They signify the start of astronomical summer/winter, shaping agricultural cycles, cultural celebrations of light/fertility, and spiritual reflections on peak energy and renewal.

Summer Solstice: Represents abundance, peak strength, and the triumph of light, acting as a time to celebrate accomplishments and internal light.
Winter Solstice: Represents “seed energy” and introspection, focusing on rebirth and growing light.

June solstice marks the shortest nights and longest days of the year in the Northern Hemi (Summer Solstice).
For the Southern Hemisphere (Winter solstice), however, it marks the longest nights and shortest days.
